For the second time our school was visited by two native speakers. This time Ryan from Canada and Sam from England.
They spent a week (from 4th to 8th March 2013) in our school and improved English skills of two groups of students from different classes.
‘They taught us important things like calling emergency services in English or describing different things which are common for us but might be something new for a foreigner,’ said Petr, one of the enthusiastic students from Septima B.
The evidence that the teachers wanted to teach English in a funny way was for example playing games and Pancake Racing in the school sportsfield. Students made pancakes at school and then split into three teams. Afterwards they were running with frying pans and flipped their pancakes as fast as possible. The first team won a fabulous price in the end.
All in all, it was a wonderful activity and it would be great to hear native English speakers next year again.
